{What I'm Wearing: Striped Shirt—H&M (remixed), Cardigan—Nordstrom BP (shop), Polka Dot Skirt—Anthropologie "Mossy Atoms Skirt" (remixed), Belt—thrifted, Satchel—Anthropologie, Heels—Seychelles}
I am actually in love with this skirt and have no idea why I haven't worn/blogged about it more. It has been hiding in my closet for quite some time, but yesterday morning when I got dressed it was surprisingly the first thing I reached for (reunited and it feels so gooood)!

Of course, any normal person would have paired this busy polka dot skirt with a simple solid color. But you know how I feel about mixing prints, so I obviously paired it with stripes and created what I consider to be a classic "Melina" outfit. So, now it's your turn. Go mix some prints and make me proud (and also make me feel as though I dress like a normal person)...

P.S. Speaking of prints, pretty much everything for sale on my Shop My Closet page is printed—florals, stripes, plaid, name it—and they are all waiting patiently to be adopted into a nice home :)

  1. That skirt is gorgeous and so fun for summer!  And I'm beginning to think that stripes and patterns are now a classic mix, thanks to you.  :)

  2. There's a lot of skirts that just got away from me but I've always gotten over it.  This skirt however is not one of those skirts.  I would still love it in my wardrobe.  I remember the first time I tried it on at full price.  I totally contemplated buying it but stopped myself.  Still kicking myself to this day.  But it looks lovely with the striped top and cardi/belt combo.

  3. I love the pattern mixin' going on here! That skirt is sooo stinkin cute too!

  4. I love this look for you! It is super girly and preppy at the same time! You look adorable! I follow you now! Oh, and I love your hair style too:))
    Would you like to follow me back?

  5. Yeah, I actually managed to get it on sale but remember ALMOST not buying it because it was still pricey at the sale price!!
