Reflection

What I'm Wearing:
Sleeveless Polo: H&M
Maxi Skirt: Nordstrom BP (here)
Cardigan: H&M
Belt: Target
Handbag: Anthropologie
Earrings: Nordstrom BP (similar here)

For the first time in the three weeks since I've been back at school, I finally have a second to breathe. Despite the fact that I have a lot of school work to catch up on, its nice to have a relaxing weekend with nothing to do but sleep, eat, study (and blog).

Time passes very differently when I'm back at school versus being at home. College life is much more fast paced and there always seems to be something going on. Weeks will go by and I'll suddenly look back on them and realize that I haven't had a second to reflect on anything that has happened.

Even my style has been neglected these past few weeks. Granted, I was busy with sorority recruitment for the first two weeks, but the outfit I'm wearing in this post is one of the first outfits I've worn at school that finally feels very me. Although its a little dressier than what most people would wear to class, I felt very comfortable and confident in it...and it felt nice to finally have a second to put time and effort into what I was wearing.

My goals for the rest of this quarter? take a second to breathe a little more, learn how to relax, and continue to develop my style...rather than putting it on the back burner amidst the craziness of college.

Its nice to finally be back in the swing of things.

  1. I absolutely love this on you! I've been looking for a way to make my maxi skirt fall appropriate and this look is perfect. The brown belt is my favorite part.

I'm a teacher and find that when the school year starts it's always like a whirlwind, so I understand where you're coming from with this post. Too much happens, way too soon and all at once. Take it easy.

  3. I'm always curious about other people's university experience--mine is not normal, I know. Anyway, you look adorable. (:
