The Right Side of the Bed

What I'm Wearing:
Tank: Forever 21
Cardigan: Nordstrom Brass Plum
Maxi Skirt: Kaitlyn Clothing (remixed)
Earrings: Anthropologie (shop)
Belt: Nordstrom
Wedges: Cathy Jean Shoes
Yesterday was a great day. And I'm not particularly sure why...
Maybe it was the wonderful cool breeze, or the two soy vanilla latt├ęs I had, or the work I got done at my internship, or the nap I took at 9pm that made me wide awake at midnight...but I must have just woken up on the right side of the bed.

Plus, I finally wore this maxi skirt that I haven't styled since the last time it showed up on my blog back in October! The skirt is a bit long on me, so unless I hike it up below my chest, I need to wear wedges with it. And I was feeling daring, so rather than changing into flats after my internship, I proudly wore my wedges to class and only got a few weird looks. It was great.
On a final note, I would just like to thank you all for being so supportive of my blog. I truly appreciate all the kind emails and comments I have been receiving lately. It really is a great motivator and makes me want to blog even more, so thank you.

P.S. Happy (almost) three day weekend...

  2. the maxi skirt shrinks you, sometimes you kind of look like a man, that down ward look pose is too simple and obvious, be different for once!

  3. I'm so jealous of this look.  I recently tried on a gorgeous, blue max and it just didn't work.  I so desperately wanted it to work.  Yours is working gloriously!

  4. thank you! and sometimes it's all about the material of the maxi that can make it or break it. What kind of maxi was it?

  5. It was probably rayon, 'cause it was at GAP...there was too much fabric gathered at the elastic waist band.  It added too much weight on top of being too long.

  6. Ohhh that makes sense, I have definitely tried on skirts like that before!
