The Big Chill

Wednesday, December 11, 2013

Get the look:
The rumors are true..."winter" decided to visit LA for a couple days. Don't worry though...it's gone now and back to the usual 75 degrees. While it was still chilly, I decided to pull out my favorite sweatercoat from the back of my closet. I wanted to keep the rest of my outfit simple, and liked the monochrome look that my top and scarf created. I really like the idea of wearing whites during the winter, so I think I'll probably try to recreate a similar combo again soon.

In other news...HI, I'M DONE WITH COLLEGE. It still feels a little surreal and probably won't hit me until January, but yeah...that's where I'm at. And if I could, I would do it all over again. Kidding. Freshman year does not ever need to be repeated—only "fondly" remembered through embarrassing and slightly unrecognizable photos.

Anyway...WoOoHoOo!

Time Flies

Thursday, March 8, 2012

What I'm Wearing:
Tunic: Urban Outfitters
Sweater: Anthropologie "Variegate Loom Sweatercoat" (remixed)
Jeans: Joe's Jeans Denim Leggings
Boots: Anthropologie "Buckled Paddock Boots"
Thanks to the chilly weather we have been having in LA, I was able to pull out a sweater I thought I had retired for the winter! This is one of my absolute favorite purchases of all time, even though I hardly get to wear it considering I live in a climate that averages 75 degrees year round. I know what you are thinking...I definitely choose to invest in the most practical pieces possible...
On another note, how is it already March!? As I was going back through my blog posts to link-up my outfit remixes, I realized how quickly time has been passing by lately. Weird to think the last time I blogged about this sweater was back in December over winter break. Looking at those photos, it seriously feels like yesterday. Where has the time gone?

Before I know it, it will be the end of my second year of college and I will be off to a university in Ireland (which I officially got my acceptance to this week!) for the first quarter of my junior year. People really weren't kidding when they said college flies by faster than high school. Funny thing is, I feel like I'm supposed to be sad that these "best days" are passing me by so quickly...but I feel more excited than anything else.

And I'll leave you on that sentimental note...
I really should have started this post with Dearonline and completely publicDiary...

Beach Sweater

Tuesday, December 20, 2011

What I'm Wearing:
Sweater Coat: Anthropologie "Variegate Loom Sweatercoat"
Shirt: Gap
Jeans: Holding Horses via Anthropologie
Earrings: Anthropologie "Encircled Effulgence Posts" (different color here)
Crossbody Bag: Fossil
Flats: Anthropologie "Doily Flounce Flats"
I've never really been one to love swimming in the ocean, so I didn't mind going to the beach even though it was pretty chilly and windy. I also didn't mind having the beach to ourselves (well...sharing it with those two people that made it into the last photo...). And I especially didn't mind being able to wear my new sweater coat—a coat that I had obsessed about after it had sold out in most Anthropologie stores...and that my friend at work magically found in the return bin the other day. (thank you Alexis, you are the best!)
All in all, it was a good day. A day that reminded me why I love being home so much.
