Window Shopping

Monday, April 9, 2012

What I'm Wearing:
Camisole: LOFT
Cardigan: Anthropologie (shop)
Skirt: thrifted
Belt: thrifted
Bag: Fossil
Heels: Seychelles
This past Saturday was lovely, relaxing, and hot. (I consider anything over 75 degrees to be uncomfortable...) Andrew and I ventured into Brentwood for brunch, took a drive down PCH, got lost on the freeway, and then found our way back to Beverly Hills where we ate cupcakes and walked along Rodeo Drive.

And the best part? I wasn't even tempted to walk into any of the stores and spend money since I could probably only afford to buy their paper shopping bags...

A Little Bit of Whimsy

Friday, April 6, 2012

What I'm Wearing:
Shirt: Anthropologie (remixed 1 & 2)
Cardigan: Anthropologie "Ribboned Rocket Cardigan" (shop)
Skirt: Nordstrom Brass Plum (shop)
Belt: Nordstrom
Flats: Target (shop)
I was feeling a little whimsical the other day and decided to pair my striped shirt and denim skirt with my new leopard flats and patterned cardigan. The combination is a bit unexpected, but I think the pieces have just the right amount of quirkiness for them to all work well together. This is my kind of spring outfit...

Have a great weekend!

Pleats

Wednesday, April 4, 2012

What I'm Wearing:
Shirt: Madewell (shop)
Skirt: Madewell "Rouge Dot Skirt"
Denim Jacket: Heritage 1981
Belt: Target
Bag: Fossil
Clogs: Target
You may have noticed that, lately, I have been wearing a lot of pleats. They seem to be popping up everywhere (alongside polka dots) and I have found myself naturally gravitating towards them in stores. This pleated skirt was one of those items that I had been drooling over at Madewell for months before it finally went on sale and I took the plunge and purchased it (with a little help from my trusty student discount!). I decided to let the skirt be the main focus of the outfit, so I paired it with a simple white tee and denim jacket to keep my outfit simple.

Anyway, I'm just blogging about this outfit now, but I actually wore it on the last day of my spring break out to brunch and a walk at our cute local library. Even though I've only been in my spring quarter classes for three days, looking at these photos really makes me miss that wonderful thing called relaxation...
