NYE 2011: Nighttime Glow

Here's what I wore at night (see my previous post for my daytime outfit) on New Year's Eve. Overall, it was a wonderful evening. After seeing The Ides of March, we went out to dinner at a new restaurant nearby. We then came home, watched TV, drank champagne, and snuggled up to watch the ball drop. Sure it wasn't anything special, but I could not have asked for a better way to ring in the new year.

So, here's to our third New Year's kiss...and our third year together as a couple. I can't wait for all the adventures that 2012 has in store.

NYE 2011: Daytime Sequins

I wore this to see The Ides Of March during the day on New Year's Eve. Originally, I had planned to only wear this sequined skirt for NYE at night, but I loved it so much that I wanted to get some wear out of it during the day (of all days to sport sequins...I'm pretty sure NYE takes the cake). So, to make it daytime appropriate, I dressed it down with a cotton top, denim jacket, and swapped the black ankle booties I was planning to wear with it at night for simple black flats. Although I still got a few strange looks from some people in the movie theater, I was pretty proud of myself for boldly sporting sequins during the day.
