What I'm Wearing:
Shirt: Forever 21
Blazer: Urban Outfitters
Pencil Skirt: Anthropologie "Tile-Quilted Mini" (shop)
Necklace: vintage
Watch: Michael Kors
Handbag: Anthropologie "Lane Lines Bag"
Heels: Nine West
I wore this outfit to an interview the other day. Being a college student, I don't have too many opportunities to dress up like this. So, when the occasional opportunity arises, I love to dress professionally and pull out my rarely worn, but very loved black pumps and blazer. I also love this pencil skirt because it is polished, yet unique and quirky at the same time.
Looking at myself in this outfit gives me a little glimpse into my future. While I love college, I also can't wait to start my future career and explore the work world...

  1. That skirt is perfect! It's a great mix of professional and fun. I had an interview last week too and I had to dress up for the first time in a while. It was nice and a bit worrisome since I was on my 30 for 30 challenge but I made it work! :)

  2. This is such a great professional look! The pencil skirt really makes it professional whereas the pattern gives it a bit of an edge.

  3. thank you! I hope your interview went well! :)

  4. That skirt is a-mazing. I found you from WIWW! Hope you can swing by our Fashion Mingle and share your style!

  5. The pop of color in your necklace is perfect! Hope the interview went well.

  6. I popped over to your blog after seeing your comment on A Cup of Jo. Great concept and very nice looks! I can only wish I had your fashion sense as an undergrad - as well as in the postgraduate world ....

  7. Great skirt & bag! Love the orange necklace for a pop of color too. Perfect, stylish look for an interview.

  8. Loving this skirt! Great pattern.

  9. Ooh, that skirt is awesome, and I love the brights in the necklace and bag!

  10. I love EVERYTHING about this outfit! So cute and polished!

  11. I have that skirt as well, but in the redish/pinkish/orangeish version. I had to size down two sizes for it fit, but the waist still gapes. :( But it's an easy alteration... hoping I can alter it soon. I can't wait to wear it!

    You look fab, dear!

    xx Love& Aloha

  12. yeah mine is a bit big. There were only a few sizes left in the blue/green so I had to buy a slightly bigger size. I ran it through the dryer though and it shrunk nicely!

    ps. thank you!
