I used to avoid high-waisted pants like the plague. And not because I didn't like them, but simply because I was convinced they wouldn't work on my frame. Well...fast forward to about a month or so ago when I found these lovely black trousers and everything changed. However, even with my newfound love for high-waisted pants, when I first saw these trousers from Ruche I wasn't sure if I could pull off anything lightly colored. In case you didn't know, black is very forgiving. Other colors? Nooot so much. But luckily, once they arrived at my door and FIT (hence this tweet), I realized they would be great for everyday wear and easily styled for work or school. (Oh, and very stretchy too—always a plus!)

P.S. If you'd like to know what I've been up to lately at my internship, you can check out the Beso.com blog to see some posts about style and shopping that I have written in the past couple weeks!

Color Planning

{What I'm Wearing: Blouse—Ruche (shop // remixed), Skirt—Anthropologie (similar // remixed),
Belt—thrifted, Sandals—Target (shop)}
This Ruche blouse is quickly becoming a staple in my closet and I love the variation of colors it can be paired with. Last time I wore it with a dark rust orange cardigan, so this time I decided to create a more summery look and pair it with a light yellow skirt. But, don't worry, my color mixing will not stop there! I've got big plans to bring this blouse to Ireland and mix it with some darker hues to add a pop of color in even the most drab rainy day ensemble.

Speaking of which...I'll be leaving in about a month and still have nothing ready for my trip. No coats, no rainboots, and no plug converters. I better start getting my act together soon or I'm going to have a very interesting four months...

P.S. If you follow Ruche on Instagram you might recognize this outfit from last Friday :)

{What I'm Wearing: BlouseRuche "Chance Encounter Floral Necktie Blouse" (shop),
Cardigan—Anthropologie "Anza Cardi" (remixed), Jeans–Holding Horses, Boat Shoes–Sperry Top-sider}
Although this outfit is very similar to my last post, I still figured I would blog about it because I love this Ruche floral blouse. The ascot tie is very retro, and the color goes with pretty much anything. So, naturally, I decided to pair it with my favorite orange cardigan ever. Seriously though, I have worn this cardigan like crazy since I bought it last summer. Check out my outfits with it here!

P.S. You may have noticed I have been wearing more pieces from Ruche lately. Well...this small fact has to do with an exciting announcement I will be sharing soon :)

Happy Thursday!
